The Parmigiano Reggiano supply chain can contribute to a sustainable future
The Parmigiano Reggiano supply chain can contribute to a sustainable future. This is what Nicola Bertinelli, president of the Parmigiano Reggiano Consortium, stated at the third edition of the Circular Agroecology Forum organized by Legambiente, while speaking of the commitment of an important resource (over 12 million euros) that over the three-year period will encourage all breeders to undertake virtuous behavior on animal rights, with the aim of improving even more the Crenba parameter that measures animal welfare in breeding.
The "animal welfare" project, which aims to increase the quality of life of cows that contribute to dairy production, encouraging and empowering farmers, was also created thanks to the contribution of key external experts, allowing the Consortium to draw on technical expertise from academics, non-profit associations and even government agencies
