Export increased over 50% during the first semester of 2016

On Wednesday August 24th 2016, the enchanting Malga Larici (an alpine summer house) on the Asiago Plateau, hosted the summer board meeting of the Agriform members.
The President, Alessandro Mocellin, and the general Manager, Nisio Paganin, commented together the results of the first semester administration, pointing out the steady export growth (+3%), an opposing trend compared to the rest of the industry that has observed a general stall.
For the first time, the export reaches over 50% of sales (32 millions), mainly thanks to the steady growth of the USA Market (in the amount of 12,6 millions, with a 14% growth), followed by Germany, Canada and Switzerland.
The export positive trend is carried on by Parmigiano Reggiano (+22%) but also by the Veneto PDO Cheeses: Asiago Fresco +26%, Asiago Stagionato +18%, Piave +16% and Montasio +30%.
The quality of the product, and the daily effort to face the domestic and foreign market challenges, are a guarantee for the achievement of a fair enhancement of the product entrusted to Agriform by the members.
Looking out to the future, Agriform pays special attention to the new trends and needs of the consumer. The proof of this, and one of the next challenges to face, is the launch of an ambitious project for the animal welfare and environmental sustainability.
